Would you like to learn about the most iconic football club in the world?
Join Glasgow Football Tour & the Hampden Collection on a walking tour around Glasgow's Southside and discover everything you need to know about Glasgow's Glorious Hoops!
Queen's Park Football Club was formed on 9th July 1867 and paved the way for the modern game of football with their own, unique passing and running style. They were inventors of the way we play and watch the Association game, and was the driving force behind the first ever international fixture, the creation of the SFA and Scottish Cup. For 152 years the mighty Queen's maintained amateur status, while going toe to toe with Scotland's elite football clubs, and were cordially known as Scotland's Senior club.
This 4-hour tour will take you on a journey around the grounds, beginning in the Queen's Park Cafe, with a pint (if you wish) and the 1st Half of the legendary Hampden Collection Quiz. From there we will show you the EXACT site of the club's birth place and then journey through Queen's Park Recreation Ground before taking you around the FOUR HAMPDEN PARKS; including a drop-off at Hampden Bowling Club for the Quiz's 2nd Half. Come along and explore the story of the world's beautiful game, invented, mastered and shared by, you guessed it ... THE SPIDERS!
Please note you will also learn the very reason why QP are nicknamed the Spiders. FYI, it has nothing to do with the passing game or Robert the Bruce!
BOOK NOW!! This tour will only run on Sunday 10th July to celebrate the 155th Birthday of the world's most important football club.
